As part of the American Rescue Plan Act, the City and County of Eau Claire is receiving $33.8 million in funding. We are demanding that the Eau Claire City Council and Eau Claire County Board prioritize a community-led process and centering BIPOC and vulnerable populations in the decision making.

Knowledge is useless if you don't share it. It is with this belief and the belief that "Knowledge is power. Knowledge shared is power multiplied," that we founded the Power Up Eau Claire project.
Local to Eau Claire, WI, Power Up Eau Claire is a civic engagement project aim at amplifying the voices and experiences of minority and underrepresented communities with a focus on the local Hmong community.
The focus of the project is to engage, inform, and build community power. We believe that folx who are most impacted should be at the forefront of our movement to build community power. We are building smarter and better informed AAPI voters in our community. This work includes accurate and up to date information that we can share with our community in a variety of formats and in both Hmong and English (e.g. videos, social email posts, etc.), outreach initiatives that is conducted in Hmong and English, and intentionally including those who are most impacted in our work.
Our community power building work is done by focusing on voter registration, election and campaign education, building civic participation, engaging and activating our community in issue-based advocacy, and providing mutual aid. We are committed to fostering emerging leaders and building leadership in our community.
